Joseph Schroeder is a physical education teacher at the West Tisbury School, and the Head Coach of the MVRHS Cross Country and Track & Field teams. A seasoned runner in his own right, Coach Schroeder ran track (hurdles and dashes) in high school in Michigan and in college at Ohio Wesleyan before moving to Boston. A USTAF Level 1 Certified Track & Field Coach, Joe has been coaching for 30 years, 29 of which have been with MVRHS. He was named Boston Globe Cross Country Coach of the Year in 2002, and again in 2016.
Coach Brown helped start the indoor track and field program in 2014. As a distance coach, he attributes his coaching style and philosophy to his mentor Bob L'Homme, head coach at his alma mater Bishop Feehan. Coach Brown owns a small garden design and maintenance company.
Coach Graves has been the hurdles and high jump coach at MVRHS. He is a seasoned athlete himself, who competed at the state level in high school. He is also a social studies teacher at MVRHS.
